NanoStatics is a privately owned Ohio based company which was founded  by Ashley Scott and John Robertson in late 2005. The principals of the company have developed intellectual property for the EHS technology for the production of nanofibers and have considerable experience in developing and manufacturing equipment for the processing industries. 

The company has a pilot coating facility with the capability to manufacture small scale proof of concept products, do product development for customers, or do limited scale pre-launch manufacturing for customers who have purchased equipment. The site pictured above also houses a  production electrospinning machine which spins nanofibers onto up to 2 meter wide webs. NanoStatics will design and build EHS systems based on  customer requirements and the types of products to be made. 

Dr. Scott ,  Chief Technology Officer ,  has a Doctorate of Chemistry Degree from the University of Texas at Dallas and has been active in developing electrospinning processes starting with his graduate studies. Dr. Scott has had a career of advancing responsibilities in innovating and engineering new technologies. He has 4 patents and is active in the American Chemical Society.

Dr. Robertson , Chief Innovation Ofiicer ,  has a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Physics from the University of Illinios and is a graduate of the Harvard Busines School OPM program. Dr. Robertson has 49 patents and owns InfoSight Corporation, which he started. He was also the founder and past owner of Telesis Technologies . He is a Registered Professional Engineer (Ohio) , a Fellow in the Instrument Society of America and a past president of the Electrostatics Society of America.                                                                                 

"David Burge has been named President & CEO, succeeding John Robechek, Interim CEO.  David has served as President of Mopus Filtration, LLC since 2005 and Managing Partner of Mopus Group, LLC since 2002.  He was CEO and President of Ashburn Hill Corporation and seven years at BBA Nonwovens in a variety of roles increasing in responsibility, driving sustainable growth strategies, global marketing initiatives, product & business development, general management, and executive leadership.  David holds an MBA from Clemson University and an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lowell."

John Schirmer, is a non-executive advisor and manages sales of equipment and products. Mr. Schirmer has an M.S in Chemical Engineering from SUNY - Buffalo and graduated from the Executive Program at the University of Virginia. Mr Schirmer has 3 U.S. patents and has been past owner of a startup company. He also has experience managing research and business development for several companies


Investors:

In March, 2007 NanoStatics completed a major round of equity financing. Leading the investment were Reservoir Venture Partners  and the Ohio Tech Angels Fund . 17 individual investors also participated in the funding round.

To complement this equity infusion, the company also received a state loan from the Innovation Ohio Fund (IOF) for the continued development of nanofiber technology.
